PatzMeow Cattery is on a
small farm located in the heart of Cajun Country. Here we raise
African  Serval Cats, Bengals and Savannah Cats. All
of our animals are pets first and foremost. We make sure that
all of our kittens are well socialized and healthy. We never have more
cats than we can devote lots of love and attention to. All of
our pets have tested negative for Feline Leukemia and Feline AIDS.
All of our cats are immunized up to date before we send them to new
homes and we include full instructions for you and your veterinarian
for future vaccination. We offer African Servals to approved homes.
The African Serval is a very special cat but they may not be for every
home. For those who want the exotic look of the Serval we offer
Savannah Cats. The Savannah Cat is a hybrid of an African Serval
and domestic cat. They will be larger than a domestic and will
have the markings of a Serval. Savannah Cats do still have some
of the behavioral characteristics of the Serval and as such will require
somewhat more attention than a domestic cat. For cat lovers who
want an exotic look but in a domestic-sized body, we have Bengals.
The Bengal is also a hybrid like the Savannah Cat. However, the
Bengal is smaller and is at least 4 generations removed from its wild
ancestors. The Bengals are bred to look like a small Leopard.
At the farm we organically
grow figs and make preserves from them that are available seasonally
by mail order. We grow over 10 varieties of figs. Preserves are available
from the standard varieties and limited quantities of preserves are
available of the more exotic varieties. Fig preserves are great Christmas
gifts and can be shipped for you to the intended receiver.
We
also grow and sell by mail, Camptotheca Acuminata trees. This
is also known as the Cancer Tree or Chinese Happy Tree. This tree
is grown as a cash crop as well as for a shade tree. All parts
of the tree produce cancer fighting compounds that are being used by
several major drug companies. The tree grows well in temperate
and subtropical areas. This is a  fast growing tree that is becoming a high return
cash crop due to the fact that synthetic forms of the cancer fighting
compounds are much more expensive to produce. These also make
a very beautiful shade tree if you are planting only for landscaping.
On the farm we also raise
Japanese Koi for local sale. We only sell large Koi and we will
only sell them locally.
We also offer organically
grown cat treats, durable handmade cat toys, and other pet related items
by mail.
